Computer Training Center "Specialist" announces the end of teacher training first stage within the international campaign of Microsoft IT Academy. From June till October more than 100 teachers from different parts of Russia attended the training “Teaching methods by international Microsoft Office Specialist standard” and successfully passed the certification. At the same time we continue training informatic science teachers in Visual Basic. Net. Fundamentals.

In April 2004 Microsoft It Academy programme was launched in Russia. Its aim is to assist in uptodate technologies training, provided at schools and Universities. Microsoft Office Specialist is one of the two levels of participation in the programme. To use its full potential teacher training is held all over Russia.

The Programme was organized by Microsoft Russia branch in cooperation with Ministry of Science and Education on the base of Computer Training Center “Specialist”. From April to June 5 groups of teachers did their training in the Center. (84 people from different parts of Russia, including two groups training in Tver and Yaroslavl)

For more than 8 years “Specialist” has effective partnership with Moscow schools, creates training programmes and provides seniour students with Computer and Economics training. Every year over 3000 pupils become Center graduates. Due to this fact, Specialist trainers have uniqie experience in methodology and teaching different age-groups.

Teacher training was developed by Training Center “Specialist” in cooperation with Microsoft and Ministry of Science and Education. Besides the courses it includes consultations on training methods, legal items and IT Academy programme delivery in schools.

The second stage started in November supposes training 80 teachers from Kazan, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, Ryasan and southern Russia. “We’d like to point out that the course is highly effective and important for any user. Despite our long-term computer experience, skills acquired at these courses enhanced our scope and improved our work with Microsoft desktop applications. We are sure that our gained knowledge will help our students to fit in with up-to-date information environment”. – said the teachers from Krasnoyarsk, who covered the course in November. The course was delivered by “Specialist” trainer – Alexander Perederiy (Master Microsoft Office Specialist)

One of the training effectiveness markers can be the number of teachers passed Microsoft Offoce Specialist exam – 80-100%. Such result is achieved due to teachers’ motivation for their efficiency evaluation.

Simultaneously training centre “Specialist” (in cooperation with Microsoft Russia) continues cut priced teachers’ training in Programming Fundamentals. Since October more than 50 teachers underwent a day training “Visual Basic.Net. programming fundamentals” under the supervision of “Specialist” certified trainers. In November we plan to deliver the same programme to two more groups.
